Communicating Confidently
Tiffany Leighton-Giffey, M.S., CCC-SP
Owner, Speech-Language Pathologist and Myofunctional Therapist
My ultimate goal in providing speech therapy and myofunctional therapy is to help my patients/students to connect — connect to their parents and caregivers, to their peers, and to the community at large. I see communication as the essential element towards reaching this goal.
I’ve connected and worked with children as young as 2 and adults up to 102. I have 17 years of experience in a wide variety of settings. For the past two years, I have been virtually serving clients between the ages of 3 and 18 in rural school districts across Wisconsin, as well as providing private speech therapy virtually and within the Chippewa Valley. Prior to that, I served students in person for 10 years as an employee of the Eau Claire Area School District. In the beginning of my career, I worked for four years with adults in skilled nursing facilities, rehabilitation centers, and hospitals. I have abundant experience working on language, speech sounds, stuttering, and social skills.
With Communicating Confidently, you can expect that services will use engaging materials and activities. This may include using technology as a therapeutic advantage. Sessions may use the most current and engaging online activities available to keep students motivated and progressing towards their goals.
